All individuals are presumed innocent unless proven otherwise through proper investigation."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2e3b<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udea8 ALLEGATIONS RAISE SERIOUS QUESTIONS ABOUT PUBLIC TRUST \ud83d\udea8<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Rowan County deputy pictured in the center of the referenced photo \u2014 who received BLET certification in 2024 \u2014 has been identified to me as Dominick LoCascio, a deputy with the Rowan County Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to multiple law enforcement officers and deputies who have worked with him, the following concerns were reported:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udcf7 Body Camera Concerns<br>Sources allege that during traffic stops, the deputy would turn off his body camera entirely or mute it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\ude97 Questionable Vehicle Search \u201cMethod\u201d (Alleged)<br>Sources claim the deputy described a \u201cmethod\u201d where he would:<br>\u2022 Bring an evidence bag to a vehicle<br>\u2022 Tell occupants this was their \u201cfirst and last chance\u201d to come clean<br>\u2022 Promise \u201camnesty\u201d if illegal items were placed in the bag<br>\u2022 Then order occupants out of the vehicle to establish probable cause<br>\u2022 Proceed to search the vehicle and still charge them for the substances<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udccd AVL \/ GPS Shut-Offs<br>It is also alleged that the deputy would turn off his AVL (GPS vehicle locator) \u2014 a system designed as an emergency safeguard for deputies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udea8 Pattern Concerns<br>A now-former, terminated deputy allegedly engaged in similar behavior by turning off AVL to engage in sexual misconduct, raising broader questions about why any deputy would disable emergency tracking systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u26a0\ufe0f Alleged Threats &amp; Behavior<br>Sources further allege:<br>\u2022 The deputy threatened to go to the homes of officers who spoke to me<br>\u2022 He allegedly maintains multiple fake Facebook profiles<br>\u2022 He is said to openly brag about the behaviors listed above to coworkers<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83e\uddd0 Deputy LoCascio was unbeknown to me until today.<br>\ud83d\ude33 Fellow Law Enforcement Officers allege that he bragged about being able to avoid me like the plague and stay off my radar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2e3b<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83e\udded WHY THIS MATTERS<br>Even if some actions were argued to be legal, intentionally disabling body cameras and GPS tracking systems raises serious public trust concerns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If actions are lawful and appropriate, a fair question remains:<br>\u2753 Why turn off the body camera?<br>\u2753 Why disable the GPS locator meant for emergencies?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udde3\ufe0f Officers who provided this information stated they did not want to \u201csnitch\u201d on another cop, but felt compelled to speak out because they oppose \u201cdirty policing\u201d and believe such conduct damages the integrity of law enforcement as a whole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udccc This post calls for transparency and accountability \u2014 not conclusions.<br>If these allegations are false, they should be formally addressed and corrected.<br>If they are true, they warrant investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">None the less, Deputy LoCascio is on the radar and being watched to substantiate these claims.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Public trust depends on it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u27a1\ufe0f Being so young to law enforcement\u2014this brings into question of who taught Deputy LoCascio to operate this way?
