Immediate Movers was hired to come out and move a very large fish tank for someone who was purchasing it from my home. They were given the dimensions and weight of the 800lb glass aquarium and still showed up with only 4 guys. Upon getting here, they decided that the fish tank was going to require more manpower than what they originally intended. The owner of Immediate Movers then calls me rather than actual person who hired his company to begin with, tries telling me that there is no way that my aquarium is 800lbs because they “move 800lb items all the time” and then states that they will have to raise the rate for the job. As an owner of an Aquarium Maintenance company myself, I assure him that this aquarium is EXACTLY 798lbs and that it is extremely unprofessional for him to be speaking to me as I did not hire him to begin with. I am just the seller. Immediate Movers then calls the buyer of the aquarium and immediately over doubles the rate to move the fish tank to $5,000. Accusing the buyer of not being upfront with the aquarium or the move. The buyer did in fact send dimensions, weight, and all the details required for the move beforehand. Immediate Movers failed to plan appropriately and still charged the buyer for an item they were paid to move yet failed to do. 100% would not reccomend Immediate Movers. What an extremely shady and unprofessional business.
