Today was productive and eye-opening at the Topsfield Fair. I spent a few hours sharing crucial information about sugar glider care, particularly in response to the irresponsible practices of Pouch Mates, a vendor selling gliders for $1000 with inadequate supplies and harmful misinformation. Unfortunately, these gliders have been turning up sick across New England over the past week.
Shockingly, Pouch Mates’ so-called “warranty” even states that if a glider dies, you can purchase another sick glider for $125. This kind of predatory practice only adds to the harm they’re causing.
