All individuals are presumed innocent unless proven otherwise through proper investigation.⸻🚨 ALLEGATIONS RAISE SERIOUS QUESTIONS ABOUT PUBLIC TRUST 🚨The Rowan County deputy pictured in the center of the referenced photo — who received BLET certification in 2024 — has been identified to me as Dominick LoCascio, a deputy with the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office.According to multiple law enforcement officers and deputies who have worked with him, the following concerns were reported:📷 Body Camera ConcernsSources allege that during traffic stops, the deputy would turn off his body camera entirely or mute it.🚗 Questionable Vehicle Search “Method” (Alleged)Sources claim the deputy described a “method” where he would: • Bring an evidence bag to a vehicle • Tell occupants this was their “first and last chance” to come clean • Promise “amnesty” if illegal items were placed in the bag • Then order occupants out of the vehicle to establish probable cause • Proceed to search the vehicle and still charge them for the substances📍 AVL / GPS Shut-OffsIt is also alleged that the deputy would turn off his AVL (GPS vehicle locator) — a system designed as an emergency safeguard for deputies.🚨 Pattern ConcernsA now-former, terminated deputy allegedly engaged in similar behavior by turning off AVL to engage in sexual misconduct, raising broader questions about why any deputy would disable emergency tracking systems.⚠️ Alleged Threats & BehaviorSources further allege: • The deputy threatened to go to the homes of officers who spoke to me • He allegedly maintains multiple fake Facebook profiles • He is said to openly brag about the behaviors listed above to coworkers🧐 Deputy LoCascio was unbeknown to me until today. 😳 Fellow Law Enforcement Officers allege that he bragged about being able to avoid me like the plague and stay off my radar.⸻🧭 WHY THIS MATTERSEven if some actions were argued to be legal, intentionally disabling body cameras and GPS tracking systems raises serious public trust concerns.If actions are lawful and appropriate, a fair question remains:❓ Why turn off the body camera?❓ Why disable the GPS locator meant for emergencies?🗣️ Officers who provided this information stated they did not want to “snitch” on another cop, but felt compelled to speak out because they oppose “dirty policing” and believe such conduct damages the integrity of law enforcement as a whole.📌 This post calls for transparency and accountability — not conclusions.If these allegations are false, they should be formally addressed and corrected.If they are true, they warrant investigation.None the less, Deputy LoCascio is on the radar and being watched to substantiate these claims. Public trust depends on it.➡️ Being so young to law enforcement—this brings into question of who taught Deputy LoCascio to operate this way?
