This will be my last post addressing Lauren Dixon and the Indi Collective. Initially, I just wanted to be a voice for my friends I’ve met thru working for Indi Collective who had been informing me that they are still on the receiving end of unfair treatment. Well the word got out in a very big way. Once it reached Lauren’s eyes and ears, she began moving in her same slimy ways and pretty much did the work for me. She revealed just how low she would be willing to go to keep Indi Collective looking like a luxury photography brand instead of the gutter company that it is. She is literally outsourcing people from the Philippines, paying as little as $6 an hour to slap on a LUT or a preset and “edit” weddings. And she still somehow couldn’t keep promised delivery times. I feel very satisfied knowing that I allowed couples and photographers a safe space to air out their frustration and outrage about what they’ve been enduring. I am also happy that my actions lit a fire under Lauren’s ass and made her actually have to pay these people that she’s ignored for days, weeks and sometimes months. I am NOT one to be threatened or lied about. I literally had no horse in this race besides wanting to help people. I woke up yesterday morning to a text that in part said that 2 photographers reported The Indi Collective’s instagram account for fraud/scam and it had been removed. While I personally did not report nor encourage anyone to do anything, everything happens for a reason.
