PSA: Our Neighbors are being ripped off!Some of you may know I own a company that delivers rock, sand and basically anything for landscaping. Recently I’ve been getting calls from 2 companies. “Hello Gravel” and “Gravel Monkey”, these companies are located in Texas and New York. They advertise nationally.What these companies do is take an order over the phone or online then look for a local supplier to facilitate the delivery. They charge the customer double or sometimes triple what it would cost if the customer just called local suppliers. They have no local ties or operating expense. Essentially they pay for advertising to become a middle man and they make more than the company facilitating the delivery meanwhile the customer is paying an exorbitant amount for the material. Getting ripped off.
You don’t have to call me to make an order. This is not an advertisement. Its just a public service announcement. I’m a 4th generation owner of a local company who cares about the people in this state. Just trying to protect them from predatory people trying to price gouge them. Do your research everyone! And BUY LOCAL.
